In commemoration of the 140th anniversary of SOFOFA, more than 90 companies throughout Chile, from Arica to Punta Arenas, joined the noble initiative of opening their doors from October 10th to 22nd for guided tours of their facilities where the community, mainly from educational institutions, got to know how the companies work.
Innocon, as a company committed to the development and innovation of the industry at a national and international level, carried out this activity on October 13th, an opportunity in which they welcomed the CFT Lota Arauco and the Bicentenario de Coronel school to the facilities in Escuadrón Business Park.
Carlos Sepúlveda Toepfer, general manager of Innocon, emphasized the opportunity that SOFOFA provides to companies to join this initiative: “Since our goal is to strengthen the ties between the industry and the educational community, planting the seeds of innovation in the minds of future generations,” he said.
During the day, visitors had the opportunity to get to know the company, learn about Innovation and Product Development, and engage in dialogue with professionals from the R&D departments in all its areas, as well as the Laboratories and the Pilot Plant where They execute projects in various areas.
For Sepúlveda, opening the doors of the company creates an opportunity to show new generations the work being done, “This close relationship between the educational sector and the industry plays a fundamental role in building a future characterized by transparency and collaboration,” he concluded.
